Grandmother Arrested At McDonald’s Drive-Thru For Not Pulling Car Forward |
Back in September, we wrote about a young woman who was arrested for salting a police officers burger. This time, from Local6 in Clearwater, Florida:
—
CLEARWATER, Fla. — A 75-year-old woman was arrested at a Clearwater McDonald’s drive-thru, because police say she wouldn’t pull her car forward. Authorities said Jean Merola, a grandmother of eight, was arrested for disorderly conduct after she refused an officer’s orders to move her car while she waited for the coffee and salt-less fries she ordered at the drive-through window. Merola said the McDonald’s employees told her to wait there for her food. Merola was handcuffed behind her back and put in the cruiser.Another officer arrived and took her to the Pinellas County Jail. Merola said she was searched, photographed and fingerprinted. Jail records show she was released about 90 minutes later on her own recognizance. She’s probably like every other 75-year-old woman and has trouble gauging distance. Poor thing. Something tells me she was harassed for asking for fries without salt, because if it’s one thing McDonald’s makes sure you get on your fries, it’s plenty of salt. They probably come like that and somebody in the back had to scrape the salt off of each one.Click the link above and you can watch the video. Notice that she’s giving the interview, while dressed in jail stripes, except they’re not jail stripes — it’s just a shirt she chose to wear during the interview. Hmm. |
